Yoga Nidra for Yoga Teachers

The art of relaxation and achieving a state of deeper awareness. Yoga Nidra (or Yogic sleep practice) means sleep with a trace of awareness. It is a state of mind between wakefulness and dream. During the practice of Nidra, our consciousness travels from one layer of consciousness to another.

The Yoga Nidra practice is a technique to awaken divine faculties. It consists of awakening and elevating Kundalini energy and observing the subtle layers of the body. Yoga Nidra takes you through layers of the mind that can be unconsciously locked, to reveal a higher state of awareness.

What you will learn:

During this training for Yoga teachers (requirement: has followed a 200-hour yoga teacher training), participants will be trained in a step-by-step systematic and scientific procedure of the Yoga Nidra practice. You will learn how to create a well-structured Nidra class, so you can integrate it into your teachings, and gain knowledge about sleep, dreams, and the controlling centres of the brain.

You will explore Yoga Nidra with:

Process of Pratyahara (withdrawing of senses)
Rotation of consciousness (focus on different parts of the body in a systematic order)
Awareness of breath
Observation of feelings and sensations
Visualisation

You will discover the benefits of Yoga Nidra for your students experiencing stress or psychosomatic and cardiovascular diseases. Both days of the training will be based on both theory and practice of Yoga Nidra. By joining this training, you will experience holistic healing of Body-Mind-Heart, and get a renewed sense of deeper relaxation, vitality and motivation for life, directing your energy & intelligence towards Self-awakening and expansion of consciousness.

Moena de Jong is registered as E-RYT 200 at Yoga Alliance and as YACEP. This training counts as 10 hours of continuing education at Yoga Alliance.
