About the Workshop
Hatha Pradipika is the oldest and most widely used ancient text on asanas. The course consists of a daily practice in chanting, Sanskrit and Hatha Yoga Pradipika philosophy, in the same way yoga aspirants are taught at the Ashtanga Sharath Yoga Center in Mysore, India. We invite you to dive deeply into the lineage of Hatha Yoga together with Lakshmisha, which will be profoundly constructive for practitioners of all levels. In these four days a number of common philosophical quests will be posed, and we will explore and discuss possible answers together.

- Chanting of certain mantras plus understanding their history
- Explanation of Hatha Yoga Pradipika and it's meaning in the Yoga tradition.

About the teacher
Lakshmisha Bhat
Lakshmisha Bhat was born in a small village, Madgeri, nearby Gokarna (Shiva's holy place) in the north of Karnataka in India into a Brahmin family. He studied Sanskrit by the traditional method in his village for 8 years, then came to the Mysore Maharaja Sanskrit College for further studies of the Advaita Vedanta. He has obtained the Vidwan title in that subject and subsequently a master’s degree from Mysore University.
Lakshmisha conducts the traditional Brahmin puja rituals every day in his home and at the Sharath Yoga Shala for the benefit of the students and family, as part of his work.
In 2006 he married Ranjita and together they have a son, Gautama.
