Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and fun flow class, with a variety of postures (asanas) to strengthen the body and the mind. Vinyasa means 'connection of movement and breath'. Through the use of creative sequences of asanas, the teacher will prepare you for more advanced postures like arm balances, hip openers and backbends.

Ashtanga Yoga

In the Astanga Led classes, you will learn the first part of the sequence of postures of the Primary Series of the Astanga Vinyasa Yoga System. The class consists of a fixed series of postures, which is guided by the teacher and focuses on increasing strength, flexibility and concentration of the mind.

The Mysore Program is a method of practice for the Ashtanga Yoga sequence, a series of postures connected by powerful movement, breath, and attention. This is the traditional method for learning Ashtanga, which is taught through one-on-one instruction from a teacher.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga

In a Yin Yoga class seated and lying down postures are held for 3-5 minutes. While the muscles are relaxed, the connective tissue in the body is stimulated by the specific poses. Yin Yoga combines the knowledge of Hatha Yoga with Chinese Medicine's meridians, Taoist philosophy and Buddhist meditation techniques. Yin Yoga has a positive effect on the organs, immune system, muscles and joints.

Restorative Yoga uses props, like blocks and bolsters, to support you in different postures and help the body to relax and let go completely. The class is calm, grounding and restoring. It is highly suitable if you are healing from an injury, dealing with stress or burnout or want to relax deeply.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a traditional yoga method that includes postures (Asana), breathing exercises (Pranayama), Meditation, Chanting, and hand gestures (Mudra). The emphasis in Hatha Yoga is on balancing body, energy, and mind.

Yin Yang Yoga

Yin Yang Yoga

A Yin Yang Yoga class focuses on relaxing (Yin) and strengthening (Yang). It is a class in which you are both physically challenged and completely relaxed. Where the Yang (Vinyasa) part will focus on strengthening the muscles, the Yin part will focus on relaxing them completely. By balancing your Yin and Yang your energy flow will increase, giving you a peaceful balanced mind and body.

Pranayama classes offer a set of simple breathing techniques which help to cleanse and stabilize body and mind. With a regular Pranayama practise, more vital energy is made available for the body and mind. The breath begins to flow more freely, providing access to deeper states of meditation. The digestive system and lungs are stimulated and cleansed, the mind becomes clear and calm, the nervous system strengthens. You will feel vital, awake and content as your body's energy system is balanced.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra translates to sleep meditation and is a practice of conscious relaxation designed to release held tension in our body, mind and energy field. The practise of Yoga Nidra guides students into a state of deep relaxation, by progressively relaxing and releasing tension from each part of the body. This helps us to feel more open inside and is a great way to reverse the impact of stress.

Meditation is an important part of yoga. In fact, the physical yoga practice (or asana) is traditionally used as a purification and preparation for meditation.
